ESS_Nature_advertThe European Spallation Source (ESS) will be the world’s most powerful neutron source when it comes into operation in 2019, providing unique and powerful neutron scattering instruments to study the properties of materials in all their rich diversity. The ESS will be built in Lund, Sweden, by a collaboration of scientists and engineers from European countries. Today we represent nine nationalities. ESS will, together with other leading research facilities nearby, such as the planned MAX IV synchrotron in Lund and XFEL and Petra III in Hamburg, make the region a world leader in research infrastructures for the study of materials. ESS will become a hub in Europe’s research infrastructure.

During 2010 we start to recruit the many professionals who will help develop the ESS. We are searching for committed, enthusiastic and energetic professionals, both youthful and young-at-heart and of all nationalities, to join us in the exciting and challenging adventure of building the European Spallation Source. New positions will be posted continuously, so please visit our web site frequently.
