Anders Dahl, Head of Vattenfall Wind Power, and Colin Carlile, Director of ESS Scandinavia, today signed a Letter of Intent with the aim of developing offshore wind power, which will give 0,3 TWh electricity per year. - ESS will be the world-leading scientific facility of its kind, but we also want to break new ground with our energy solutions. We would like the scientific community to take an increasing responsibility for a more sustainable energy consumption. In Sweden there is extensive experience from innovative energy solutions and we are looking forward to use Vattenfall’s knowledge within wind power, says Colin Carlile. - The cooperation with ESS Scandinavia is a part of our ambition to increase the share of renewable energy production. Our ambition is to develop wind power with a capacity of 49 TWh electricity by 2030, whereof 8 TWh in the Nordic countries by 2016, says Anders Dahl. In total, our increased production of wind power will provide 10 million households with electricity. For more information, please contact: Marianne Ekdahl Erik von Hofsten
